Partner Enablement is where you keep your certification program organized. You define what certifications matter, assign them to the right people, and watch the whole picture stay healthy through built-in risk indicators and alerts. This page walks you through every part of the screen so you always know what you are looking at and what to do next. You reach this area from the sidebar, where it appears as Partner Enablement with the subtitle “Certification & enablement tracking system”. The screen is organized into three tabs plus a Reference Data button in the top-right corner:

Certification Requirements

Create and manage the certification definitions your program requires, including partner, type, level, renewal frequency, and which roles need them.

Employee Certifications

Assign certifications to individual employees and track their status, dates, evidence, and expiry risk.

Enablement Alerts

See what is expiring soon, which partners are not fully enabled, and where required certifications are missing for a role.
Who can do what: Admins can do everything, including deleting certification definitions and employee records. Managers can create and edit records but cannot delete them. Viewers have read-only access and can browse every tab without making changes.

Certification Requirements tab

This is the first tab and the foundation of the whole feature. A certification requirement (also called a certification definition) describes one certification your organization tracks, such as its provider, how often it must be renewed, and which roles are expected to hold it. At the top of the tab you have a search box that filters the list by certification name, and an Add Certification button on the right. The table below shows every certification you have defined, with these columns:
  • Certification Name with its description underneath when one is set
  • Partner/Vendor the certification belongs to
  • Type shown as a badge, or a dash when none is set
  • Level shown as a badge, or a dash when none is set
  • Required shown as a “Yes” or “No” badge
  • Renewal Frequency such as “12 months” or “24 months”
  • Required For Roles shown as one badge per role, or a dash when none apply
Each row has a menu (the three-dot icon on the right). From there you can open the Training Portal or Official Site when those links exist, and, depending on your role, Edit or Delete the definition.
Enablement 1

The Certification Requirements tab listing every certification definition with its partner, type, level, required flag, renewal frequency, and roles.

Creating a certification definition

1

Open the form

On the Certification Requirements tab, select Add Certification. A dialog titled “Add Certification Definition” opens.
2

Fill in the basic information

Enter the Certification Name (required), for example “AWS Solutions Architect Associate”. Choose the Partner/Vendor (required) from the dropdown of your partners. Pick a Certification Type (required) and, optionally, a Certification Level. Choose a Renewal Frequency (required) such as “12 months”. You can also add a Description for extra context.
3

Add a reference value on the fly if needed

The Type, Level, and Renewal Frequency dropdowns each end with a + Add new option. If the value you need is not there yet, choose + Add new, type the name, and select Add. The new value is saved, becomes selected automatically, and is available in that dropdown from then on.
4

Set the requirement details

Tick the checkbox if this certification is required. Under Required For Roles, use the “Add a role” dropdown to attach each role that must hold this certification. Selected roles appear as removable badges, so you can add several and remove any by selecting the small x on the badge.
5

Add resource links (optional)

Under Resources, you can paste a Training Portal URL and an Official Certification URL. These become the quick links available from the row menu in the table.
6

Save

Select Create to save the new definition, or Cancel to discard it. When editing an existing definition, the same form opens pre-filled and the button reads Update.
Empty optional fields are simply left off when you save, so there is no need to fill in every box. Focus on the required fields marked with an asterisk and add the rest whenever you have the details.

Employee Certifications tab

The second tab is where you connect people to certifications and follow their progress over time. Each row is one employee’s record for one certification, complete with status, dates, and any proof files attached. The filter bar at the top gives you several ways to narrow the list:
  • A search box that matches employee name or certification name
  • A partner dropdown to show only records for a chosen partner
  • A status dropdown with the values All Status, Not Started, Achieved, and Expired
  • A risk dropdown with the values All Risk, Green, Yellow, and Red
  • An Assign Cert button on the right to add a new record
The table shows these columns: Employee, Role, Certification (with a priority badge underneath when set, and a small star chip showing the number of attached proof files), Status, Achievement Date, Expiration Date (with a countdown of days remaining or “Expired”), and a Risk Indicator badge. The row menu lets you open the proof or training materials link, and, based on your role, Edit or Delete the record.
Enablement 2

The Employee Certifications tab with per-employee records, status and risk badges, expiry countdowns, and proof-file chips.

How status is calculated

You do not set status directly. AltamIQ works it out from the dates on each record:
  • Not Started when there is no achievement date yet
  • Achieved when there is an achievement date and the expiration date is in the future or blank
  • Expired when the expiration date has already passed

How the risk indicator works

The risk indicator gives you an at-a-glance sense of urgency based on how many days remain until expiration:
  • Green when more than 90 days remain
  • Yellow when fewer than 90 days remain
  • Red when fewer than 30 days remain, or the certification has already expired
  • None when there is no expiration date to measure against

Assigning a certification to an employee

Select Assign Cert to open the “Assign Employee Certification” dialog. Choose the Certification and the Employee (both required). The employee’s role and the certification’s partner are shown for reference, filled in automatically from those records. You can set an optional Priority, an Achievement Date, and an Expiration Date. Under Resources & Evidence you can attach proof files with Add Proof File, which accepts PDFs, documents, presentations, images, and video up to 50 MB each. Files you add before saving are shown as “staged” and are stored once you save the record. You can also paste a single proof URL, add a Training Materials URL, and write Internal Notes. Select Assign to save. When editing an existing record the button reads Update, already-saved proofs are listed with View and delete options, and you can attach more.
Both the Certification and the Employee pickers include a + Add new option. If the certification or person you need does not exist yet, you can create it right from this form without leaving the assignment.

Enablement Alerts tab

The third tab is your health dashboard. It reads across all your definitions and employee records and surfaces three things you should act on. There is nothing to configure here; it updates automatically from your data.
Lists every employee certification set to expire within the next 60 days, showing the employee, the certification, and how many days remain. When nothing is expiring you see a reassuring “No certifications expiring in the next 60 days” message.
Checks each partner’s required certifications against what employees have actually achieved. A partner is Fully Enabled when all required certifications are met, Partially Enabled when some are met, and Not Enabled when none are. Only partners that are not fully enabled are listed, with a count such as “2/3 required certifications achieved”. When everyone is covered you see “All partners with requirements are fully enabled”.
Highlights required certifications that no one in a given role has achieved yet. Each role is listed with a badge for every certification still missing, so you can see exactly where to focus training. When there are no gaps you see “All required role certifications are covered”.

Reference Data settings

The Reference Data button in the top-right corner opens the “Reference Data Management” dialog. This is where the choices in your dropdowns come from, so keeping it tidy keeps your forms consistent. It has a tab for each list:
  • Certification Types
  • Certification Levels
  • Employee Roles
  • Renewal Frequencies
  • Priority Levels
  • Employees, where each entry has a name, email, role, and department
For the simple lists, type a value and select Add, or press Enter. For Employees, fill in the fields and select Add Employee. Every item can be removed with the trash icon next to it, which asks you to confirm first.
The values you manage here feed the dropdowns throughout Enablement. Adding a new Certification Type or Renewal Frequency here means it will be ready to pick the next time you create a certification definition, and adding an Employee here means they are available to assign right away.
Deleting is limited to Admins across Enablement. Managers can add and edit reference values and records, and Viewers can look but not change anything. If you cannot see a Delete option, your role does not include delete permission.
